A friend asked what the best broadband service for her laptop was. To me, it’s like shopping for cellular service, which is exactly what it is.

1. Does anyone else agree?

2. Does anyone have any suggestions for a carrier?

3. Can you share a mobile broadband service, like cellphones can share minutes if both devices have a mobile broadband card?

Thanks!

so here is the deal i have a 3com adsl router and a wimax router and a DVB-RCS
this is a bit confusing
the wimax and the DVB-rcs both are connected to the 3com through cables and i can access both of them by simply changing my ip address configurations

for example lets say the ip address of the wimax is
192.168.1.1 : 255.255.255.0

and the ip address of the DVB-RCS is
192.168.0.1 : 255.255.255.248

so in order to access them i need to turn on my wireless on my computer and connect to the 3com wirelessly and then change my ip address to
192.168.1.2 etc etc
to access the internet through wimax
or
192.168.0.2 etc etc
to access internet through DVB-rcs

how can mix them both

the issue is that wimax is pretty fast but it keeps disconnecting ,so each time it disconnects i have to manually change my ip address to the DVB-rcs
what should i do please help

Hello, I have been using sympatico unplugged ( Bell Wimax ) for a couple months now. it has been great for a long time but lately it has slowed down ALOT, like im talking around dial up speed. we phoned bell and they explained that the ip adress probly changed and we told him what it was and he said it was wrong, he said that it should be around 70 in the first two digits but it was 192. how do we :refresh’ the ip address? thanks!
